Creating the Perfect Luscious Lips

Since the Ancient Egyptians used liner to define their lips, our kind have desired lips that are luscious, youthfull and pouty. As we age our lips can get thinner, color blander and wrinkles creep in, eek! Below are some tips for juicy, beautiful lips. Also we will do a run down some information on lip augmentation and permanent makeup.

Moisturize

For smooth silky lips, apply a moisturizing lip balm cream in the morning and night. Keeping your lips juicy and lush is important with lip balms.

Lip Plumper Lip Gloss

What is Plumping Lip Gloss? Lip plumpers make the lip have a reaction making them swell to cause them to be fuller and add more vibrant color. You can get plumping lip gloss in a clear or a colored gloss. This ads a temporary effect of plumping without using pricy botox or fat injections. Their are different ways lip plumpers work. Using Pepperment or Cinnamon, these natural spices can cause a temporary inflamation reaction to your lips, making them swell. Some plumpers use microspheres, which draw water molecules to the surface of the skin making them plump. And lastly some lip plumpers use tri-peptide of amino acids known as palmetoiloligopeptide. These lip plumpers stimulate elastin and collagen production in the lips, but must be used daily for weeks to see a result.

Highlighter

A shimming highlighter product can do wonders to make your lips stand out. Add a dab to your Cupids Bow, which is your upper divet in your lip to make them look larger. Cream highlighters work best to blend rather than powders that can sit on the surface.

Mouthersize!

As we age, our muscles degenerate causing a thinner lip. Doing excersizes can maintain the muscles around the lips. One way is to smile for 5 seconds and follow that with a pucker. Another way is to move your mouth in a figure 8 to make the muscles strengthen. Promoting the muscles to be stronger also stimulates the production of collagen, which is a natural plumping agent.

Having Lip liner and color done can save you money on expensive lipsticks and time getting ready in the morning. Permanent Lips also benefits you from no more smearing or wondering if your lipstick is on your teeth! The procedure is two to three hours and a minimum of two procedures is necessary to getting the color to the right tint.

Temporary Lip Augmentation

Brand names such as Restylane, Perlane and Juvederm are all forms of hyaluronic acid, which has been shown to be a safe material. The results last 4-6 months and one syringe costs $600. Temporary Lip Augmentation is to add fullness to your lips giving them more volume.

Artificial Permanent Lip Augmentation

Permanent Fillers that are artificial should not be used. Often they harden making it a problem to the consumer. Many are noticeable because they protrude out over time and can be felt as unnatural. Many Artificial Permanent Lip Augmentation products have been pulled from the market with unsatisfied patients. Products such as silicone, Artefill, and saline filled tubes are types of Artificial Permanent Lips Augentation products.

Permanent Lip Augmentation with Tissue

Since the artificial Permanent Lip Augmentation procedures look bad, tissue is the only permanent way to go. This procedure has many drawbacks, mostly in time and money. The procedure can be done with a couple small grafts, or one big graft. Each session needs to be done in a very sterile environment, have liposuction from a different area, and anethesia which makes each time around $4000. The fat dissolves into the surrounding tissue, so a couple small grafts need to be done to counteract the results going down. Doing one big graft can cause you to have very noticeable huge lips that will take a few weeks to a few months to absorb and look more normal. A material called hyaluronidase can be used to disolve the fat if in the end it was overdone and needs to be reduced.
